Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Afonso Severino, the Founder of BuildWise Lisbon.
Before starting BuildWise Lisbon, I worked for one of the leading platforms connecting customers with renovation professionals in Portugal. During that time, I was directly involved in hundreds of renovation projects, working closely with both clients and service providers.
That experience gave me a deep understanding of the entire renovation journey – from planning and permits to execution and final delivery. I saw what works, what doesn’t, and most importantly, how to solve problems before they become costly mistakes. I also had the opportunity to build a trusted network of reliable contractors, architects, designers, and technicians, many of whom I still collaborate with today.
I created BuildWise Lisbon to bring that knowledge and network to international clients who often feel lost or overwhelmed when trying to navigate Portugal’s property and renovation market. My mission is simple: make the process clear, efficient, and stress-free – so you can enjoy the results without the headaches.
